Community Guidelines
Protect the room so honest discussion can stay useful.
Intervals is built for grounded conversation from lived experience. These guidelines keep anonymous and public posting clear, accountable, and worth trusting.
Key principles
Speak from lived experience
Share what you have lived, noticed, learned, or are actively working through. Advice is welcome, but do not pretend to have all the answers.
Respect the room
Do not turn replies into lectures, sales pitches, personal attacks, or status games. Honest disagreement is allowed. Degrading people is not.
Anonymous when needed. Accountable when it matters.
Members may post or reply as “Member.” Other members do not see your name, but moderation can still review abuse, reports, and platform safety issues.
Not allowed
The line is simple: do not use the room to harm, expose, recruit, threaten, or derail.
- Harassment or personal attacks
- Hate or demeaning content
- Threats or intimidation
- Sexual exploitation or predatory behavior
- Sharing private information about another person
- Spam, promotion, or recruiting
- Deliberately derailing discussions
Reports and moderation
Members can report posts or replies.
Reports are reviewed privately.
Intervals is not monitored 24/7, so reporting is not a substitute for emergency help.
Reporting does not automatically remove content.
Moderation may review, dismiss, hide posts, hide replies, or suspend accounts depending on context.
Moderation actions are intended to protect the room, not control honest disagreement.
Crisis and self-harm
Intervals is not a crisis service and is not monitored 24/7. If you may hurt yourself, may hurt someone else, or believe someone is in immediate danger, call emergency services or call/text 988 in the U.S. now. Users should report concerning content inside Intervals so it can be reviewed, but reports do not replace urgent help.
Read the Self-Harm and Crisis GuidelinesBe honest. Be useful. Do not attack people. Do not expose private information. Do not use anonymous posting as cover to harm the room.
Intervals is not a replacement for professional medical, legal, financial, or mental health care.
